May 2010, London

I assisted last May 2010 to one of the most important comic and manga events in the UK, London MCM Expo. I assisted on Saturday; that day the representative for the UK at the Eurocosplay contest was selected.

I'll start talking about the negative points and I'll continue with the positive ones. At first, I had to queue for an hour and a half to buy a ticket. Once inside, one of the big differences about last year's event, was the bigger number of assistants. I have to say that it was more difficult to walk in there than last year.

Also, several things where delayed. In consecuence, the cosplay contest was running really late, contestants and public had lo leave the place when all the shops and activities where shutted down.

Possitive things: the cosplay contest & stand staff where simply amazing, they where really nice the whole day, you could really tell that they where happy to help and to organize cosplay stuff. Contestants had to aply online before the event's date, and they kept sending us emails and updating us with imoprtant information.

They had their own cosplay stand, and they offered cloakroom, dressing rooms, water, sweeties, repair materials and some food to help the cosplayers keep going, all of that free of charge.

Every contestant had the opportunity to talk with the judges, so they could see you costume, details and you could explain construction details to them. .

Again, all the members of the staff where really nice and professional, I can't thank them enough for that! But I'll keep saying it, thanks!!
